“Sorry, I’ll you a new one as fast as possible.”
“How many times you want to say ‘sorry’? It’s annoyed. By the way, now the time is 5. Why aren’t you going home? Do you know that the library can’t be closed because of you?”
“Har…?” I once again rose up my head for a looked at the surrounding. Everyone was gone. I quickly packed my stuff up and quickly go home for dinner.
“Lets go, I drive you home. Where do you live?”
“Oh, just beside Jason’s house.”
“You are close with Jason?” remember last time beach party, Jason brought her too.
“Yes. His cooked is nice especially making pasta.”
“Is it? Wow, there’s lots of Jason’s secret that we don’t know.” He smiled at me. His smile is so sweet.
“Actually you no need to pay me back that watch.”
“No, that’s given by Senior Cassandra. It’s a memorable present.” Everyone knows that Cindy is his girl.
“Haiz… But it’s meaningless too if you buy me one.”
This fact had made me speechless. All is my fault. If is not because I’m poor in drinking wine, I won’t able to recognize his watch as a stone and threw into the sea. Although Jeremy he didn’t blame me, but I still blame myself.
“How about like this. Tomorrow we go for lunch; you pay for it and everything settle okay? Venue and time I decide.”
“Okay.” I agreed with it.
The next day
“We’ll go Summer Dream to have our lunch.”
“Summer Dream? Where is it located?”
“You will know soon.” He’s happy, seems like never eat for days.
“Mister, our restaurant is having a promotion now. Couples who come here for meal will have 50% discount off. The waitress talked to us with her sweetest voice.
Jeremy then pulled me out from his back and said “She’s my girl.”
Summer Dream is the most famous oasis couples restaurant in that area.
“Sorry, to make sure there’s no cheating. You needed to proof it by kissing each other”
Why I suddenly feel that I went in a wrong place? I slowly move backwards and ready to run. But suddenly I being pulled back by him then he replied the waitress okay.
After replying, he kisses on my lips. The girls in the restaurant were shocked and for me, my mind suddenly blank.
“Hey~” I stared at him after the waitress heard away. He rose up his head, put down his glass and looked at me.
“Yes?”
“Why just now you…?”
“There’s no why.” He just looked like ‘I’m not the killer’ “This wasn’t your first time right?”
“Nope.” When I’m little people kissed me too. But he didn’t believe me.
While waiting for the food to be served, I looked at the scenery outside and he just flipped the magazines.
“Tomorrow there’s wishing stars.” He said
“I know. According to the legend, people who wish under the wishing stars, their wishes will come true. If couples watch the wishing stars together at the beach, cupids may protect them together forever too.”
“These just stupid imaginary from girls.”
“Jeremy…!” There’s volcano eruption anytime is I stay with him. He quickly muted me.
“Please, this is not your house. By the way, tomorrow are you free?”
“Nope, why?” I was looking at the steaks that we had order, yummy.
“My friend had organized a party but I don’t have partner.”
“So…?”
“I want you to be my partner.”
“No, you called Cassandra to accompany you since she’s your girl and I’m not with your friends too.”
“I’ll pick you up tomorrow night at 9 o’clock.”
I didn’t bordered his words and continue eating my steak. If I don’t want to go in the car, what can he do? Hehe…
The day morning
“Miya!” I turned my head; it’s a bunch of senior girls calling me.
“How dare you steal our Princess Cassandra’s prince away?” they scolded at me aloud.
Please anyone tell me what had happened? Just a lunch only, why scolded me like I’m a witch? After reached home, I straight away climbed up to my bed and sleep. Today is the most tired time I had. When I woke up, it’s 8:30 pm already. I quickly cooked myself a soup noodles as dinner.
When I about to eat, my phone rang…
“Hey, I’m now outside your house.” It’s Jeremy
“Hey, I’ve told you that…” I rushed out the house to scold him
“You’re not going to wear like this to the party right?” he looked at my Winnie the Pooh pajamas.
“I don’t even agree with you.” I shouted at him but he just smiled
To make sure everything settles properly especially being called as witch in front of the seniors. I finally gather my confidences.
“Please don’t come and find me anymore!”
“Why?” he was shock
“I don’t want to be in trouble. I just want to study peacefully in the school.” The minute I said out, tears coming out.
“Sorry”
The minute I thought everything end, he holds my hand.
“But I can’t make it if you want me to give up.”
“Do be like that.” I pushed away his hand. “You had Cindy already.”
“Please.”
“Let us back to the starting point, you don’t know me and so do I.”
“No, it’s not good.” After saying, he left.
Another cloudy morning
After the conversation with Jeremy, I can’t sleep well the whole night and today in school there’s people fighting. It’s Jeremy and Jason.
Actually I wanted to visit Jason because we’re neighbor. Suddenly, I am being pulled into the music room. The aroma, it’s him.
“Your Senior Jason had hurt for sure you’re sad right?” He sat at the piano chair, his mouth is bleeding too.
“But both of you are buddies, why are you both fighting each other?”
“Why? Are you sad?” he rose up his head. Now I saw not only his mouth bleeds but the face hurts too.
I quickly take the medical box in the music room and heal his hurts.
“Why both of you fight?”
“He wants to tackle you.”
“Why I can’t feel it?”
“I can.”
“But why must fight?”
“He called me to away from you.”
“Then?”
“I don’t want so he punched me.”
“Then both of you started fight? Now I believe boys are childish too.”
“Yea”
“Both of you aren’t kids anymore. Why both of you fight because this small stuff?”
“Miya~ Cindy and I aren’t couples” this is the first time he tell me about it.
“But it’s none of my business.”
“I love you. The minute I saw you at the beach party, I’ve fell in love upon you.”
“I…I…You are now fine, so I got to go now, bye.” I quickly ran away and that’s Miya’s style.
One week later
After that incident, I’ve never met him again. His schooling day can compare to his holiday days but who cares. His father owned the school.
“Miya, you lost concentrated again? Thinking of him again? ” my friend, Josephine asked.
“No. Who say so?”
“Don’t act please, my dear. By the way, isn’t that Prince Jeremy and Cassandra?”
“I thought he said both of them were not couples?”
“Impossible. Everyone knows they are couple.”
“Argh… I don’t know, I don’t know.”
After awhile, Josephine pointed outside.
“Hey Miya have a look.”
I turned my head where Josephine pointed, it’s Jeremy and Cassandra. Long time didn’t meet him, he had dyed his hair to brown colour, looked like sunshine boy and the one beside him is Cassandra who wears a pink dress, it looks cute for her.
That night
Jeremy went to my house to look for me but I’m sleeping so he chats with my mom.
“Auntie Can I look for Miya?”
“Miya? She’s sleeping. Come in and have a sit.”
“Ok.”
“Miya, your friend come and finds you.”
“Wow auntie is that little Miya?”
“Yes… cute right?”
“Yeah, auntie… Erm…”
“Just say out.”
“We’ll have a study group. I would like to ask whether Miya can go.”
“When?”
“Tonight.”
“Oh ~ Can, can, can…”
“Jeremy why are you here?”

“Creep, where are you going to bring me to?” How dare he ran to my house and told my mom that we’re having a study group. Pity that mom believe him when she saw Jeremy was handsome.

“Is it that the wishing star? When you recorded it?”
“That night you rejected me. I went to the beach to record it down alone.”
“I thought you said that was girl’s stupid imagination… ”
“But I didn’t say I didn’t want to watch it…”

“”I’m wondering why girls love this kind of stuff so I went for astronomy classes.”
“When will you finish it?”
“Yesterday I’m done already.”
“Why aren’t you coming back today?”
“Just now I accompany Cassandra to visit one of our friends.”
“Wow… Both of you were so lovely.”
“I’ve told you we’re not couples but you didn’t believe me. How sad it is.”

“I know rumors spread about it. Let me tell you a secret. Actually she’s a lesbian.”

“Oops!”

“Yeap.”
“Can you accept me already?”

“Kidding…”

“Yes!! Love you dear.” Jeremy hugged Miya tight.
“Ah… Let go of me, I can’t breathe well…!”

Although Jeremy loses his watch in the beginning but he gains Miya’s love lastly…
